Yes, it is a bit ridicules to have 4 boxes – a clearly money-raising project. Probably Lamm need to make it 2 chassis init with box #5 is to store manuals and box #6 to store the tube replacements. Talking about tube – one gain state with 4 paral...
The builder regards VR1 more like an "offset to 0" adjuster than a bias control for the 6E5P since its working range is quite narrow. He asked me to know from you if along the 6E5P's lifespan it needs further adjustment...

OK, now I am happier as I did my duty and the back chambers are ready to be attached to the horns and to be lifted up. Yesterday I spent 5 hours trying to build the back chamber displacement that Jessie and my carpenter ...
Romy, can you be persuaded to post a sketch of what you think the optimal 2 channel Melquiades circuit would look like?
Anthony,
I feel that 18AWG is a bit too
weak for the filaments. I usually use 12. I do not know if you allow to have
any ventilation around the 6C33C, I did. In my full range amp, I had holes around
the 6C33 panel.

It is impossible to make two amp with the same quality with such big difference in output tubes , the transformer design are vastly different, a 10Kohm transformer would never have a good bandwidth as a 600ohm transformer. I just have to experime...

Yes, it would be very interesting to hear the difference between a 6C33C amp with and without tube regulation, but also they are too many thing to try too, ... the possibility is endless here.My recent experience with two different ...

Eventually I got electricity-wise what I had in my old listening room. It turned out that the last straw that I was missing was Lavry ADC that was connected to ground of my remote switcher.
